Mission C: Our Honest Review
Mission C was launched in 2020 with a simple mission: to create change and help people understand the natural benefits of CBD.
The initial concept for Mission C was inspired by a close family member of the founder of the company who experienced a positive impact of using CBD oils to help soften and calm their symptoms of dementia. He made it his mission to demystify and democratize CBD in the UK, and started a movement where real people share real stories of their CBD experiences to increase awareness, education, and transparency.
Mission C has developed three CBD lifestyle lines through thorough consultation with leading scientists, dermatologists and health consultants. Their products are easy to use, accessible, and will help anyone have a happier, healthier and more fulfilling life. These lines include:

Mission C CBD is made primarily with broad spectrum CBD and is free of artificial preservatives, GMOs, and pesticides. Their CBD oil contains all-natural hemp extracts such as Cannabidiol (CBD), CBDv (Cannabidivarine), CBG (Cannabigerol), CBC (Cannabichromen) and CBT (Cannabicitran), as well as terpenes , flavonoids and natural omega acids. However, it is THC-free because their products have undergone an additional filtration process to remove unwanted THC, plant waxes, and chlorophyll.
Their products are made with hemp grown in Arizona (USA) and the company use state-of-the-art supercritical CO2 and ethanol extraction technology to produce the cannabis extracts used their CBD oils.
Their broad-spectrum CBD oils focus on maximising the entourage effect – a physiological phenomenon in which the properties of the active compounds in hemp appear to be more potent when are consumed together rather than individually – by maintaining the synergy between cannabinoids, plant terpenoids and flavonoids.

Mission C CBD Review Score

The CBD Unboxed Story
I founded CBD Unboxed because I suffer from bilateral femoroacetabular impingement (known as FAI), a painful condition in which excess bone grows on top of the femur (hip joint), causing the bone to take on an irregular shape.
Because they do not fit together perfectly, the bones rub together during movement. Over time, this rubbing can damage joints, cause pain, and lead to hip arthritis.

Our Review: Mission 10% CBD Oil
The CBD Unboxed review focused on two products. Mission C Post Workout CBD Oil 1500mg (5% concentration with hemp coconut MCT oil carrier) was used in the morning and post workout to assess the efficacy of this product line for hip pain, whilst Mission C Night CBD Oil 1000mg was used before going to bed.
Both CBD oils contain all the natural hemp extracts such as Cannabidiol (CBD), CBDv (Cannabidivarin), CBG (Cannabigerol), CBC (Cannabichromene) and CBT (Cannabicitran), as well as the naturally-occurring terpenes, flavonoids, and Omega acids. Since these are broad spectrum products, they have undergone an additional filtration process to remove unwanted THC, making them 100% THC-free.
During the two-week period, we took 20mg of CBD in the morning on an empty stomach, followed by 10mg at lunchtime and a further 10mg of their Night CBD Oil an hour before bedtime, giving us a total of 40mg of CBD per day.

Product Efficacy (9.5/10)
Mission C Oil for Pain Relief
If you’re looking to use CBD oil for its analgesic (i.e. to relieve pain) and anti-inflammatory properties, look no further than Mission C CBD oils, as their products are some of the best ones available in the UK.
Just leave Mission C oil under your tongue for 30-60 seconds. This allows for rapid absorption into the bloodstream and in most cases you should start to feel the pain relief, relaxation or drowsiness effects within 20-30 minutes.
By taking 40mg of their CBD oil, broken down throughout the day (morning, lunchtime, evening), it provided me with incredible pain relief and it allowed me to simply get on with my day without having to worry about hip pain or discomfort. I was able to stay active during our two-week product review, and even on days when I increased my physical activity, I was able to do it without discomfort.
Simply put, this is one of the best CBD oils I have used in the last 5 years. Best of all, I was able to quit taking traditional painkillers, which is a win for my book when you know how they can harm you in the long run, especially when it comes to your gut microbiome.

Mission C Oil for Sleep
So how did Mission C Night CBD Oil perform when it comes to improving sleep?
CBD works with the human body to increase calm, decrease stress, and lower anxiety levels. These responses indirectly improve your sleep. In the 1990s, researchers confirmed the body has an endocannabinoid system or ECS, a complex cell-signalling system consisting of endocannabinoids, cannabinoid receptors, and enzymes. Scientists believe it plays many roles, including maintaining balance in the body. When it comes to sleep, the ECS helps regulate sleep and sleep cycles.
Mission C Night Oil is infused with natural Passionflower, Chamomile and Myrcene, compounds that help promote natural, deep and healthy sleep. By taking between 10 to 15mg of CBD oil about 30 minutes before going to bed, I have found not only easier to fall asleep, but also easier to sleep through the night. Waking up feeling refreshed was amazing and unlike other CBD oils I have used in the past for sleep or insomnia, I did not have any vivid dream.
Other Benefits of Mission C CBD
While in the UK CBD has been classified as a ‘novel food’ and is therefore not a medicine prescribed to treat specific conditions, CBD oil has been shown to have several health benefits.
The human body contains a specialized system known as the ECS (endocannabinoid system), whose purpose is to regulate various functions such as sleep, appetite, pain, and the immune system responses. The body also makes endocannabinoids, which are simply neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system.
CBD is thought to interact with specific receptors, specifically the CB1R and CB2R.
- CB1 receptors, located in different regions of the body, are highly concentrated in the central nervous system and brain, regulating mood, emotions, appetite, and other functions.
- CB2 receptors are found most abundantly in the immune system and are responsible for controlling inflammation and pain. CBD stimulates these receptors and causes the body to release serotonin.
Serotonin, or 5HT, is a neurotransmitter that carries signals from one neuron to another. CBD increases serotonin levels, thus helping to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and provide a host of other health benefits, including:
- CBD for Stress: CBD helps reduce stress and calm the body and mind, through its interaction with the hippocampus and amygdala.
- CBD for Anxiety: CBD has both anti-anxiety and anti-depressant properties, and can be a great alternative to anxiety medications with known side effects.
- CBD for Headaches: CBD reduces headache frequency, reduces stress, and improves sleep, two major headache triggers. But CBD also has strong analgesic (pain reliever) and antiemetic (prevents vomiting) properties that can help people with headaches during an attack.
- CBD for Arthritis: CBD has anti-arthritic, analgesic (pain-relieving) as well as anti-inflammatory properties and is therefore a great choice for people with arthritis.
- CBD for Cancer: CBD helps relieve some symptoms of cancer as well as reduce the side effects of anti-cancer drugs like nausea, vomiting, and pain.
- CBD for Epilepsy: CBD helps reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures in epilepsy patients and may also counteract some of the side effects of traditional AEDs.
So if pain, insomnia, stress or anxiety are impacting your daily life, I would highly recommend you check out Mission C products.
Taste (9/10)
While the most common way to consume CBD is by using CBD tinctures (oils), they often have a more earthy, aromatic, woody or grassy taste because the product is natural, safe and non-toxic.
A Unique Flavour Profile
After taking Mission C 5% CBD oil for two weeks, it’s fair to say it has quite a unique flavour profile, especially when it is compared to other broad-spectrum CBD oils on the market.
The first thing we noticed is that their CBD oil is quite light, almost translucent, with a slight hint of yellow. A lighter colour profile often tends to suggest that the oil is more palatable, as some of the plant compounds have been removed. This was definitely the case here and Mission C oil has a very nice flavour profile indeed. As a broad-spectrum CBD oi, it is not too earthy or herbaceous.
It does however have a slightly different flavour profile with spicy notes when smelling and swallowing the oil, which is unlike any other CBD oils we’ve tried and tested. This could be explained by a few factors:
- Broad-Spectrum Oil: As a broad-spectrum CBD oil, it went through an additional filtration process to remove the unwanted THC as well as some of the compounds such as plant waxes and the chlorophyll.
- MCT Oil: CBD is usually mixed with hempseed oil, MCT oil or olive oil. MCT oil in particular tends to be more gentle on the palette.
- Anti-Inflammatory Compounds: Their post-workout CBD oil is infused with natural occurring Black Pepper, Limonene and Turmeric to reduce inflammation and accelerate recovery. The Black Pepper and Turmeric definitely seem to give the oil this slightly unusual, yet pleasant flavour profile.
Regardless of the taste, we still think that CBD oil is the best way to consume CBD as it gets absorbed quickly into the bloodstream in comparison to other products such as CBD capsules or CBD gummies, which have to go through the digestive tract.
Value for Money (7.5/10)
Mission CBD have clearly focused on creating a premium CBD brand, which is reflected in their overall branding and packaging. This is by far one of the sleekest CBD brands on the market and we love how much attention they put into their packaging. Your CBD order will come in a large box containing a welcome message, a CBD leaflet and your CBD products nicely wrapped in paper and black protective packaging shavings to prevent your oils moving in the box during transportation.
So we were very pleasantly surprised when we saw how affordable their CBD oil is, especially since we’ve already established this is a very effective product when it comes to pain relief, muscle recovery, sleep or stress.
To put their pricing into perspective, let’s have a look at the price per mg or price per day and compare it to other CBD oils in our Top 10.
A person between 150 and 240 lbs may need between 20mg and 40mg of CBD per day depending on the severity of their symptoms. A 30ml bottle of their 5% CBD oil, which retails at £74.99, will therefore last between 37 and 75 days and cost between £1.00 and £2.00 per day (with free shipping), which we think is quite affordable.
So heavy CBD users will need to place an order every month, whilst mild users may be able to push this to 2.5 months.

A Transparent CBD Company
As a CBD company, Mission C plays the transparency card with their customers and have made a clear commitment to raising the bar of the quality of CBD products available in the UK.
Since many CBD products contain pesticides, herbicides, mould, fungi and dangerous mycotoxins, Mission C work closely with Eurofins, a leading CBD laboratory testing service, to test all their CBD products.
In addition to being sourced and extracted from the highest-grade certified organic US hemp, they guarantee that their products are 100% organic and free of synthetic ingredients.
They allow customers to see their Certificates of Analysis online on each product page, which break down the potency of cannabinoids, the presence of terpenes and flavonoids, as well as the absence of heavy metals, mycotoxins, pesticides or microbes.
Hemp Origin: US Hemp
Like most CBD companies, Mission C does not grow its own hemp and relies on hemp farmers who are specialised in CBD and THC producing plants, which unlike fibre hemp plants that are used for the textile industry, need to be planted at wider intervals and harvested by hand, which requires specific farming methods.
Their hemp is sourced from the US and grown under the highest agricultural directives in the country.
Why US hemp?
Hemp requires around 20-30 inches of rainfall during it’s growing season, either from rainfalls or via modern irrigation methods, and whilst the plant is largely unaffected by low temperatures and can even withstand frost down to -5°C, the ideal growing temperatures for good quality hemp are between 19-25°C.
The US is a large producer of hemp with Montana, Colorado, Kentucky, North Carolina and Oregon being the 5 largest producers in the country. These five states are important location for hemp farming as they have the right regulations to grow hemp and the perfect climate.
Outside of the US, Europe is a big producer of hemp with France leading the charge, followed by Italy and the Netherlands.
For all these reasons, it makes the US a great location for Mission C to source their hemp from.
Hemp Preparation & Extraction
Once the plants have been harvested they are stored in a warehouse and left to dry. The dry hemp is then turned into a coarse powder – similar to coffee grounds – through a milling process which follows the strict standards of the hemp farming industry.
At that point, the hemp powder is transferred to the manufacturing and processing facility where it is needs to go through an extraction and purification process in order to remove all unwanted compounds and which produce a high-quality hemp extract which can then be used in oils, gummies and other CBD products.
Unlike many CBD products available on the market that use hemp produced at an industrial rate under very high temperatures to speed up the extraction process, but which ultimately degrades the quality of the CBD extract, Mission C production methods are clean and efficient as they use both CO2 and ethanol.

Mission C CBD Review: The Verdict
In terms of how it compares to other brands in our Top 10 CBDs oils, we simply cannot fault Mission C for the quality and efficacy of both their CBD oils, gummies and topicals. We love the fact that they have put a lot of effort in their branding and packaging to position themselves as a more premium product. And despite all their investments in R&D and packaging, their products remain quite affordable when compared to other products.
A special mention to two of their products in particular:
- Night CBD Oil: Their night CBD oil has become part of my daily routine as it really helps me relax before going to bed. Sine using this product, I have found it easier to fall asleep and to stay asleep throughout the night.
- Post Workout CBD Oil: Their post workout CBD oil is excellent to reduce inflammation. I would recommend not taking it immediately after a heavy workout as CBD will blunt the necessary immune response (inflammation) to repair muscles, but give it an hour or two and you should feel less sore the next day.
All in all, we would definitely recommend giving Mission C a go so you can judge by yourself.
