Naturecan CBD capsules are made of broad-spectrum CBD and have been used by athletes including ex-cricketer Freddie Flintoff and ex-football player Jamie Redknapp. Check out our recommendations for the best CBD capsules from Naturecan.

Naturecan CBD Capsules

Naturecan CBD capsules are made of broad spectrum CBD and contains no artificial preservatives, no GMOs and no pesticides. As a broad-spectrum product, their CBD capsules contain other all-natural hemp extracts such as CBN (Cannabinol), CBDv (Cannabidivarin), CBG (Cannabigerol), CBC (Cannabichromene) and CBT (Cannabitriol) and naturally-occurring terpenes, flavonoids, and Omega acids.

All their CBD capsules focus on maximising the entourage effect – a physiological phenomenon wherein the properties of active hemp compounds appear to be more powerful when consumed together rather than by themselves individually – through the preservation of synergy between the plants cannabinoids, terpenoids and flavonoids.

Their products are all derived from organic hemp plants that are grown under the highest agricultural directives in the US (Oregon) and the company use an Ethanol extraction process to produce their broad-spectrum CBD capsules.

Naturecan joined the Association for The Cannabinoid Industry (ACI) and the Centre for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC) to help build a better supply chain and raise the standards of the CBD industry in the UK.

Naturecan CBD capsules are gluten-free, organic, GMO free, lab tested and contains no THC, ensuring you get the purest CBD possible.

Naturecan CBD is the perfect option for athletes and those going through regular drug tests, as it’s a broad-spectrum product that contains no THC!

Although Naturecan only launched in May 2019, they have developed one of the widest and most comprehensive range of products available in the market which is simply impressive for such a young company.

When buying their CBD capsules, be aware that the amount of CBD in each capsule may vary depending on which strength you go for and that certain products could contain additional ingredients such as curcumin or vitamins. Naturecan offers six different types of capsules:

  • CBD oil softgels: you’ll have the choice or 10 or 25mg of CBD per capsule and bottles containing between 30 and 120 capsules. These capsules contain broad-spectrum CBD and are not suitable for vegans as the capsules are made from animal gelatine.
  • CBD oil softgels with Vitamin C: you’ll get 10mg of broad-spectrum CBD plus over 100% of your daily NRV of vitamin C.
  • Vegan CBD capsules: containing 10mg of CBD per capsule, with the capsule created with plant-based ingredients.
  • Vegan CBD capsules with curcumin and D3: contain the same amount of CBD as their vegan capsules, but with added fast-absorbing curcumin and vitamin D3.
  • Accelerator CBD capsules: If fast absorption is important to you when it comes to CBD capsules, then check out Naturecan’s accelerator CBD capsules which will deliver 16 times more CBD in the first hour compared to other CBD products.
  • Vegan CBD capsules with Astaxanthin: if you worry about your skin showing the signs of aging, then these CBD capsules may be for you as they contain astaxanthin, a naturally anti-aging ingredient which can help prevent skin sagging and wrinkles.

Choosing capsules is a great way to get your CBD intake and it’s incredibly travel friendly, the ideal solution for those who are always on the go.

As with other Naturecan products, their capsules are made with broad-spectrum CBD and contain no pesticides, herbicides, solvents or chemical fertilizers. They are sourced from organically grown, non-GMO, pesticide-free hemp plants that have been grown in the USA (Oregon) and have also been independently lab tested for potency and purity.

Note: As some of their gel capsules are made from bovine gelatine, they may not be vegan friendly. Be sure to choose their ‘vegan CBD capsules’.

Price wise, you can get their 10mg capsules (30 capsules per bottle) for £19.99 and their 10mg accelerator capsules for £34.99.

Naturecan CBD Capsules Efficacy

After testing 1000mg CBD Oil (10% concentration with organic MCT oil carrier) earlier this year, we were looking forward to giving their CBD capsules a go.

As Naturecan CBD capsules come in a single strength – 10mg of CBD per capsule – it was easy for us and we opted for a bottle of their broad-spectrum CBD soft gels as we didn’t want our results to be influenced by other factors such as the presence of curcumin which is a known anti-inflammatory.

A bottle of their 300mg CBD capsules contain 30 individual capsules, each made from natural ingredients and broad-spectrum cannabis extract, which means they contain all the other all-natural hemp extracts such as Cannabidiol (CBD), Cannabidiolic acid (CBDa), CBDv (Cannabidivarin), CBG (Cannabigerol), CBC (Cannabichromene) and CBT (Cannabitriol), as well as all of the naturally-occurring terpenes, flavonoids, and Omega acids, but are completely free of THC.

During our week-long test, we took 20mg of CBD in the morning on an empty stomach (2 x 10mg capsules), followed by 10mg (1 x 10mg capsule) at lunchtime and a further 10mg (1 x 10mg capsule) an hour before bedtime, giving us a total of 40mg of CBD per day.

So how well did Naturecan CBD capsules perform?

Naturecan CBD Capsules for Pain Relief

Naturecan 10mg CBD capsules have excellent analgesic (i.e. to relieve pain) and anti-inflammatory properties.

The capsules are easily swallowed with a glass of water (or beverage of your choice), but unlike CBD oil which is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream, they have to go through the digestive track and therefore take a little longer to get to work. On average, the effects of their CBD capsules are felt 45min to 60min after taking them, which isn’t ideal if you are looking for a fast acting CBD product.

By taking 2 CBD capsules (20mg) immediately after a tough workout in the morning (on an empty stomach), and one additional capsule (10mg of CBD) around lunchtime, I have experienced an incredible reduction of my pain levels. In that respect, their CBD capsules have allowed me to just simply get on with my day without worrying too much about hip pain or discomfort. I’ve been able to remain active throughout the week I’ve taken their CBD capsules and even on days where I increased my physical activity, I was able to perform with little to no discomfort. Best of all, I was able to stop taking traditional painkillers, which is a win in my book.

Immediately after I stopped taking Naturecan 10mg CBD capsules, I noticed that my hip slowly started to be painful and stiff again, especially first thing in the morning and after my daily workout. After two or three days of not taking their CBD capsules, the pain and discomfort were back during the day and my sleep was disrupted due to the pain, which clearly shows that their CBD capsules work incredibly well.

Naturecan CBD Capsules for Sleep

Naturecan CBD capsules also have relaxing and calming properties which means that I experienced better sleep and less stress overall.

Choosing the 10mg capsules allowed me to take one capsule just before bedtime, which is the exact amount of CBD oil I take every evening. Doing so allowed me to feel more relaxed and calm before going to bed, and it not only helped me to fall asleep quickly but also to stay asleep throughout the night.

It is worth noting that as CBD capsules take a little longer to be processed by the body since they go through the digestive track, you’ll need to take them 30-45 minutes before going to bed so you can feel the effect when you go to bed, not an hour later.

So if your aim is to use CBD oil for insomnia, then we would highly recommend you check out Naturecan CBD capsules as they work wonders.

Naturecan CBD Capsules Value for Money

Naturecan CBD capsules not only performed well from an efficacy standpoint, but they’ve also been priced quite sensibly.

A person between 150 and 240 lbs may need between 20mg and 40mg of CBD per day depending on the severity of their symptoms. A bottle of their 300mg CBD capsules (retail: £19.99) contains 30 individual capsules that will last between 7.5 and 15 days and cost between £1.33 and £2.66 per day, which is in line with the vast majority of the other CBD capsules we’ve tried and tested.

However the one advantage Naturecan has is that their capsules contain 10mg of CBD, which makes them very versatile and easier to get the perfect CBD dosage, unlike other brands who may only offer high strength CBD capsules containing 25mg to 20mg of CBD.

Based on 20mg of CBD per day, here’s how the best CBD capsules stack-up in terms of daily cost:

CBD (mg) Price Daily Cost
Honest Hemp 30 x 25mg £39.99 £1.06
Medterra 30 x 25mg £40.98 £1.09
Love CBD 30 x 20mg £34.99 £1.16
Blessed CBD 30 x 30mg £59.95 £1.33
Hempura 30 x 10mg £19.99 £1.33
Naturecan 30 x 10mg £19.99 £1.33
Provacan 30 x 24mg £49.99 £1.39
Four Five CBD 60 x 10mg £50.00 £1.67
Endoca 30 x 10mg £26.00 £1.73
Holistic Hemp 30 x 15mg £50.00 £2.22

Advantages of Naturecan CBD Capsules

Naturecan CBD capsules have many advantages over other CBD products such as CBD oil or CBD gummies.

  • Easy to use and discreet – CBD capsules are incredibly easy to use as it is essentially the same as taking vitamin pills. It is one of the most inconspicuous way to get your daily dose of CBD as all you have to do is swallow a capsule with a glass of water.
  • Precise dosage – Dosage couldn’t be easier and more precise than with CBD capsules, as each pill contain an exact amount of CBD (e.g. 10mg per capsule). Unlike CBD oil, you do not need to count how many drops you need to take.
  • No nasty aftertaste – Whilst CBD oils tend to have a very earthy or grassy taste, CBD capsules are simply swallowed and do not have any taste at all. For that reason, they are an excellent alternative to CBD oils who often have a strong aftertaste.
  • A great alternative – For people who do not like to put CBD oil under their tongue or for those who do not want to consume additives such as sugar present in CBD gummies, CBD capsules are a great alternative as you simply need to swallow them and do not have to chew or leave the oil under your tongue as you would with gummies or CBD oil.
  • No addictive or withdrawal issues – Finally, CBD capsules are a natural remedy that can be taken by almost anyone and possesses none of the addictive or withdrawal issues that other pain management or anxiety medications may present.

Disadvantages of Naturecan CBD Capsules

Whilst there are quite a few advantages to getting your daily dose of CBD using Naturecan CBD capsules, there are unfortunately several drawbacks which are worth considering.

  • Less bioavailable – the term bioavailability stands for the proportion of a drug or substance which reaches the systemic circulation. By definition, when a substance is administered intravenously, its bioavailability is 100%. However, when the same substance is administered via other routes (e.g. mouth), its bioavailability is generally lower than that of intravenous due to the fact that it needs to go through the intestines and digestion process. For that reason, CBD oil is more bioavailable than CBD capsules as it comes into contact with the sublingual gland (under the tongue) which speeds up the process of absorption and quickly enters the bloodstream.
  • Not fast acting – another problem with CBD capsules is that they are not as fast acting as CBD oil seeing as it will take some time to be processed and broken down by your digestive system. So seeing as the faster the CBD is absorbed, the sooner it can get to work, CBD capsules will usually take between 30-60 minutes to act when CBD oil takes less than 20 minutes.
  • Interaction with other medications – It’s also worth noting that CBD may make it harder for your body to process certain medications, so if you are taking any other medications, be sure to check with your GP before taking CBD products.
  • Minor side effects – Finally, CBD can cause side effects in some people including drowsiness, changes in mood, nausea, and changes in appetite. Every individual will be affected differently, and in most cases, there are no side effects to worry about.

Naturecan CBD Capsules Dosage

CBD capsules are similar to vitamin or supplement pills and as such can be taken in the same way.

Each capsule contains a precise amount of CBD – usually between 10mg and 50mg of CBD per capsule – and as such can be stronger than a single drop of CBD oil, so be sure to check the strength or your capsules and your ideal dosage before taking them.

How Much CBD Should I Consume?

When using CBD capsules for the first time, we would always recommend starting with a small dose and working your way up. Most people will start with a 5mg to 10mg capsules taking 1 at a time, preferably in the morning on an empty stomach to see how your body reacts to it.

If you are not seeing any major benefits with a single capsule, increase your intake by an additional capsule every 3-5 days until finding the right balance to treat your personal symptoms.

As a rule of thumb, a person weighting between 10.5 and 17 stones (approximately 150 and 240 lbs) may need between 20mg and 40mg of CBD per day depending on the severity of their symptoms.

How Many CBD Capsules Should I Take?

Whilst it may be confusing at the beginning, it’s incredibly simple to work out how many CBD capsules you need to eat depending on your daily requirements and the strength of the product you bought. Most CBD capsules contain between 5mg of CBD and 50mg of CBD.

So assuming you need to hit 25mg of CBD per day you will need:

CBD / Capsule Capsules / Day
5mg 5 capsules
10mg 2-3 capsules
25mg 1 capsule

If however you are trying to hit 50mg of CBD per day, you will need:

CBD / Capsules Capsules / Day
5mg 10 capsules
10mg 5 capsules
25mg 2 capsules
50mg 1 capsule

Assuming that you are trying to hit 50mg of CBD per day and use 5mg CBD capsules, you could break this down throughout the day and take 4 capsules in the morning on an empty stomach, 3 capsules early afternoon and 3 capsules in the evening.

As with everything, start with a small amount of CBD daily to make sure there’s no reaction, then increase slowly by a drop every 1-2 days until finding the right balance.

Naturecan CBD Reviews

By focusing on developing a comprehensive range of quality broad-spectrum products which have been priced fairly, Naturecan has built a great customer base. They have hundreds of customer reviews on Reviews.io with an average rating of 4.7 out of 5. Below are some of their latest customer reviews.

CBD for Sleep & Anxiety
“For any sceptics out there can I just point out that I was once right there with you! But, after decades of consistently poor and broken sleep, long spells of insomnia and having tried herbal ‘sleep aides’, alcohol, exercise, you name it; something had to give. Using Nature Can CBD oil as a sleep aide has literally turned it all upside down! Not just that but it’s aides with anxiety, post exercise recovery, helps me with niggles and aches that plague me as a result of historic spinal surgery and generally getting older! Read the research; decide for yourself. I don’t recommend anything unless I mean it so, if you’re on the fence, get down off it!”
– Graham

Great After the Gym
“I thought I’d give this oil a try and I’ve noticed the health benefits after a few days of improved mood, concentration and restful sleep. Would give 5* if it became a bit more affordable!”
– S. Mistry

Naturecan CBD Capsules Lab Reports

As a CBD company, Naturecan plays the transparency card with their customers. They guarantee that the product you are purchasing contains the exact amount of CBD advertised on their site, without any THC (the intoxicating compound in cannabis). Naturecan joined the Association for The Cannabinoid Industry (ACI) and the Centre for Medicinal Cannabis (CMC) to help build a better supply chain and raise the standards of the CBD industry in the UK.

Since many CBD products contain pesticides, herbicides, mould, fungi, dangerous mycotoxins and not the amount of CBD or THC advertised on their site, Naturecan CBD are working closely with Evio Labs and Green Leaf Labs, two US based companies offering analytical testing for CBD products.

In addition to being sourced and extracted from the highest-grade certified organic US hemp, they guarantee that their products are 100% organic and free of synthetic ingredients.

They allow customers to see their Certificates of Analysis online by going to the certificates of analysis page, which breaks down the potency of cannabinoids. The tests available to customers do not however highlight the presence of terpenes and flavonoids, as well as the absence of heavy metals, mycotoxins, pesticides or microbes, which we think is a shame but pretty standard in the industry.

The certificate of analysis for their Broad-Spectrum 1000mg CBD oil can be found here, but certificates for their CBD capsules are also available on their site.

Health Benefits of Naturecan CBD Capsules

The human body contains a specialized system called the ECS (the endocannabinoid system), which aim is to regulate a variety of functions such as sleep, appetite, pain and immune system response. The body also produces endocannabinoids, which are simply neurotransmitters that bind to cannabinoid receptors in your nervous system.

CBD is believed to interact with specific receptors, specifically the CB1R and CB2R.

  • CB1 receptors, which are located in various regions of the body, with a large concentration in the central nervous system and brain, co-ordinate mood, emotion, appetite, and other functions.
  • CB2 receptors are more commonly found in the immune system and are responsible for controlling inflammation and pain. CBD stimulates these receptors and induces the body to release serotonin.

Serotonin, or 5-HT, is a neurotransmitter that carries signals from one neuron to the other. CBD increases the level of serotonin, which, in return, helps reduce pain, reduce inflammation as well as provide a range of other health benefits, which include:

  • CBD for Pain Relief: CBD has analgesic (pain relief) properties and can help with many painful conditions such as arthritis, headache disorders, migraines, back pain or period pain.
  • CBD for Sleep: CBD has a calming effect on both the mind and the body, allowing people to fall asleep more easily and stay asleep throughout the night.
  • CBD for Stress: CBD helps reduce stress and calm both the body and mind, through its interaction with both the Hippocampus and the Amygdala.
  • CBD for Anxiety: CBD has both anti-anxiety and antidepressant properties, and can be a great alternative to anxiety medications which have known side-effects.
  • CBD for Headaches: CBD reduces the frequency of headaches as well as reduce stress and improve sleep, two major triggers of headaches. But CBD also has strong analgesic (pain relief) and antiemetic (prevent vomiting) properties which can help people with headache disorders during an attack.
  • CBD for Arthritis: CBD has antiarthritic, analgesic (pain relief) as well as anti-inflammatory properties and as such is a great option for people suffering from arthritis.
  • CBD for Cancer: CBD helps relieve some of the symptoms of cancer as well as reducing the side of effects of cancer medication such as nausea, vomiting and pain.
  • CBD for Epilepsy: CBD helps reduce the frequency and intensity of seizures in epileptic patients, and may also counteract some of the side effects of traditional anti-epileptic.
